Magic Kingdom Refurbishments and Closures
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – Closed January 6, 2025; reopening in 2026 with enhancements.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – Closed August 4, 2025, for major overhaul. Reopening in 2026.
Frontierland Station (WDW Railroad) – Closed July 7, 2025. Railroad still operates between Main Street and Fantasyland.
Tom Sawyer Island & Liberty Square Riverboat – Permanently closed as of July 7, 2025, for future Frontierland expansion.
Astro Orbiter – Closed January 13, 2025. Expected to reopen in summer 2025.
Hall of Presidents – Closed starting January 20, 2025. Reopening date TBD.
Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid – Routine refurbishment July 21–26, 2025
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Refurbishments and Closures
Animation Courtyard – Closing September 25, 2025, for reimagining. Only The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure remains.
Disney Jr. Play and Dance! – Permanently closing September 25, 2025.
Muppets Courtyard / Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster – Scheduled for future refurbishment and possible retheme.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Refurbishments and Closures
It’s Tough to Be a Bug – Permanently closed March 17, 2025. Being replaced by Zootopia: Better Together.
The Boneyard – Permanently closed September 2, 2025.
DINOSAUR – Closing February 2, 2026, for future replacement.
Kali River Rapids – Closed starting October 6, 2025, for refurbishment.
EPCOT Refurbishments and Closures
Test Track – Reopened July 22, 2025, with updated scenes, queue, and music.
Spaceship Earth – Closing August 25, 2025. Reopening date to be announced.
Cool Ship (snack stand) – Temporarily closed; reopening later in 2025.

Blizzard Beach – Closed from September 8, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
Disney Skyliner – Scheduled closure for maintenance: January 25–31, 2026.

Disneyland Hotel Refurbishments
The E-Ticket Club in the Adventure Tower is currently undergoing refurbishment. During construction, a temporary Concierge lounge is located on the lobby level of the Frontier Tower for all Club-Level Guests.
Electric vehicle charging will be temporarily unavailable at this hotel due to system upgrades beginning in March 2025 and continuing through the spring — with completion expected this summer. During that time, you may use the vehicle charging stations in the Simba Lot.
Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa Refurbishments
None
Pixar Place Hotel Refurbishments
Beginning Feb. 17, 2025, the Pixar Place Hotel pool deck will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, guests can use the pools at the Disneyland Hotel and still enjoy the Pixar Place Hotel pool deck for viewing fireworks on select nights.

These attractions and rides usually close seasonally at Disneyland for refurbishments and holiday overlays. The estimated dates on this Disneyland refurbishment schedule are based on past ride closures. We'll always post the specific dates when we receive them under Disneyland ride refurbishments.
Grizzly River Run: Usually closes early January through February or March for seasonal refurbishment.
Haunted Mansion: Usually closes late August for holiday overlay installation and reopens September; closes early January for holiday overlay removal and reopens mid-January.
