Frequently Asked Questions

What is Magic Wishes Vacations?

Magic Wishes Vacations is a full-service travel planning agency specializing in Disney destinations, Universal Orlando, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and more. I help real families, couples, and groups plan stress-free, realistic vacations—not just picture-perfect brochure trips.

What types of vacations do you plan?

I plan a wide range of trips, including:

  • Walt Disney World & Disneyland

  • Disney Cruise Line

  • Universal Orlando Resort

  • Cruises (Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Virgin Voyages, Princess, Carnival and more)

  • All-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico

  • Custom family, couples, and group vacations

If you’re not sure whether your trip fits, just ask.

Are you certified or trained?

Yes. I’m trained, experienced, and hold multiple industry certifications, including:

  • Disney’s College of Disney Knowledge

  • Universal Orlando Resort Specialist

  • CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) credentials

I also actively travel to the destinations I sell, so my advice is based on real experience—not just brochures and webinars. See my accreditations here

Can you help with large groups or special occasions?

Absolutely. I regularly plan:

  • Multi-generational family trips

  • Friends’ getaways

  • Honeymoons and anniversaries

  • Birthday and celebration trips

  • Group cruises

I help with coordinating cabins/rooms, linking reservations, dining, and logistics so you don’t have to be the “official trip planner” for everyone.

Can I use Magic Wishes Vacations if I’ve already booked my trip?

Sometimes, yes. If you booked recently and haven’t paid in full, your reservation might be able to be transferred to me so I can manage it going forward. It depends on the supplier and how it was booked.

Reach out with your confirmation details and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

How do I get started?

The easiest way to get started is to fill out my Start My Quote form. From there, I’ll review your info, reach out with any questions, and send you tailored options based on your budget, travel style, and must-haves.

You can also call, text, or email if you prefer to talk it through first.

Do I have to live near you to work with you?

No. I work with clients all over the United States. Most planning is done by email, text, and phone, so you don’t need to be local to get help with your trip.

Do you book flights too?

In many cases, yes. For some trips, I can book your flights directly; for others, I’ll either include flight suggestions or help you choose good options that work with your cruise or package. Either way, I make sure your flights and vacation line up correctly.

What happens if a promotion comes out after I book?

When possible, I monitor for new promotions and will work to apply them to your reservation if your booking and room type are eligible. Not every offer can be applied to existing bookings, but when it can, I’ll try to grab the better rate or added value for you. Check out the current promotions HERE

Do you charge a fee for your services?

Nope! Our vacation planning services come at no extra cost to you. We’re paid by the travel suppliers, not our clients, so you get expert help without paying more than you would by booking on your own.

Why should I use Magic Wishes Vacations instead of booking on my own?

I:

  • Narrow down options based on what actually fits you

  • Handle bookings, changes, and questions

  • Help with dining, special requests, and logistics

  • Monitor for sales or promotions and apply them when eligible

  • Stay available before, during, and after your trip

You get one point of contact and real-world advice, instead of spending hours on Google, TikTok, and hold with call centers.

Do you only book Disney vacations?

No. While Disney is a big part of what I do (and what I love), I also plan:

  • Universal Orlando vacations

  • Cruises (especially Royal Caribbean)

  • All-inclusive beach vacations

  • Other family- and couple-friendly trips

If your trip involves theme parks, cruises, or a sunny getaway, I probably plan it.

When should I start planning my vacation?

Earlier is almost always better—especially for Disney, cruises, and all-inclusive resorts.

As a general rule of thumb:

  • Disney & Universal: 6–12 months ahead for best availability and pricing

  • Cruises: 9–18 months ahead for the best cabins and itineraries

  • All-inclusive resorts: 6–12 months ahead, especially for holidays and school breaks

If your dates are soon, still reach out. We’ll work with what’s available.

Do you offer payment plans?

Most of my travel partners allow you to:

  • Pay a deposit to secure your reservation

  • Make payments over time up until the final due date

I’ll walk you through the payment schedule so it fits your budget and timeline.

Can I contact you with questions during my vacation?

Yes. I’m here before, during, and after your trip. If something comes up—flight changes, weather issues, questions about your resort or ship—you can reach out and I’ll help you problem-solve.

You’re never just “on your own” with a confirmation email.

Can you help if I have a specific budget?

Yes. Your budget is one of the first things I ask about. I’ll be honest about what’s realistic, show you options that fit, and tell you where it’s worth spending a little more—and where it’s not.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Almost always, yes. Travel insurance can help protect your trip investment if something unexpected happens—illness, injury, weather, delays, or emergencies. I’ll show you the options available for your specific trip so you can decide what level of coverage you’re comfortable with. Learn more about travel protection here

What if I need to change or cancel my trip?

Life happens. If you need to make changes or cancel, you contact me—not a random call center. I’ll review the supplier’s policies with you, go over any penalties or deadlines, and handle the calls and adjustments on your behalf.
